Film Composition
Australian composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Mikey O’Neil embarked on his musical journey at a young age. He began by playing the piano and discovered a passion for electric guitar as a teenager. He later continued by developing skills with other instruments including bass guitar, ukulele, and drums.
Actively pursuing video game and film composition since 2013, he has engaged in a variety of projects. These encompass many different genres including his work on the Horror feature film ‘The Furies’, his energized bit-crushed score for the game ‘Smash Crates’, and his most recent minimalist bedroom soundscape for the Indie video game ‘Momento’. These compositions showcase a diverse and versatile skill set.
Starting first on YouTube, his renditions of popular video game tracks, including ‘Dynamis’ and ‘With Hearts Aligned’ from Final Fantasy XIV, have resonated globally, allowing him to pay homage to the tracks that have inspired and influenced his career.
